Report the bag and save the China Eastern PIR
China Eastern is listed by Heathrow and Gatwick; services can be seasonal, codeshare or subject to timetable changes.
Report a missing or damaged checked bag to the operating airline or its baggage handler before leaving arrivals whenever possible.
Use the airline’s current official baggage channel from your booking or the airport directory before submitting documents.
Before leaving the report, check the operating flights, every affected bag-tag number, the suitcase description, passenger surname, phone number and delivery address. Save the PIR or file reference privately.

Track through the official airline service
Use the tracking or manage-report link supplied by China Eastern or its authorised handler. Passenger portals commonly ask for the PIR or file reference and the surname recorded on the report. A bag-tag number or booking code is a different identifier.
Some airline portals are powered by WorldTracer and others use different services. There is no universal passenger login that safely replaces the airline-specific route. BagBack cannot access the record.

Keep the tracing file accurate
- Correct a changed hotel, home address, phone number or email through the approved channel.
- Use a precise bag type, colour, brand, size and distinctive marks.
- Complete a detailed contents list only when the airline requests it for deeper matching.
- Share a personal-tracker location only through a channel the airline accepts.

Make the separate China Eastern baggage claim
- For delay: necessary purchases, the reason for each and itemised receipts.
- For loss: suitcase and contents listed separately with age and current value.
- For damage: whole-bag and close-up photographs plus a repair assessment.
- For every claim: PIR, bag tag, boarding pass and the passenger’s contact details.
