01
Forwarding is one stage in a chain
A bag may be scheduled onto another flight, transported by road or sent to the arrival station for local processing. A plan can still change if capacity, security, documents or operations require it.
After arrival, the bag may need unloading, record updates, customs handling and release to a courier or collection desk.
02
Check the report details before escalating
- Record the status time and any flight details.
- Check whether the airline asks you to collect or wait for delivery.
- Update a hotel-to-home address change immediately.
- Keep receipts until physical return, not only until the forwarding update.
03
Follow up on the destination side
- Use the report contact if the forwarding movement passes without an arrival update.
- Quote the PIR, not only the personal-tracker location.
- If the bag has arrived but no courier has contacted you, ask whether customs, station processing or courier commissioning is still pending.
- Inspect and document the bag when it is returned.
04
Tracking and claiming remain separate
Keep the PIR, bag-tag receipt, boarding pass, status history and itemised essential-purchase receipts. A WorldTracer or airline status update does not submit a reimbursement claim.
BagBack is independent and cannot see, amend or accelerate any airline, handler or WorldTracer record.
